Landscape theater of the Russian soul
The Lomovskoy natural landscape park, created on the site of lost Loma village, is literally saturated with primordial Russian images and values. These values, as well as the director of the park V. V. Kozlov’s creative ideas, formed the unique look of the park, expressed through landscape objects and restored historical buildings, theatrical festivals and other events.
To develop a concept of positioning, visual identification, design code and architectural concept of the park.
The concept of the “landscape theater of the Russian soul” has made it possible to redefine the potential of the territory in a new way: art objects became decorations, new objects of tourist infrastructure became a stage, visitors of the territory became characters of the play.
The idea of the “landscape theater of the Russian soul” is embedded in the visual identity and design code of the park.
The design code gained a distinctive feature by keeping the natural colors, materials and textures – terracotta-red color accents in the decoration of buildings and structures, art objects and landscape design.
The basis of the visual identity is a millstone, as a metaphor for the difficult life in a peasant village. Millstones still exist in Loma and continue to live in the signature style and art objects of the park.
Amphitheater on the hill
Another distinctive feature of the territory will be a large visitor center with a museum exhibition. The place will be partially hidden in a hill and will become part of the landscape.
ТArt objects standing on the ground of the old farm buildings will serve as a reminder of what used to be there before as well as an additional landscape-theatrical infrastructure for performances and photosets
There are two stages for events in the project. The main stage is an amphitheater on water, an interactive space connecting the spectators with the artists. The small stage creates a chamber format, the audience is separated from the actors by water. The floorings of the stage and the seats are used as a beach area for meditation in the free from the performances time.
At the end we got a truly unique project with a recognizable image and the theatrical design plan, which implies constant development and search. With an clear idea of tourism that preserves privacy and opportunities for quiet rest and creative work without any damage to the protected natural area.
