Interactive Museum "The Beaver's Home"

Task:

To develop a project, design and build the first interactive museum of Russian Protected Areas. It is dedicated to the most important, fluffy and valuable creature in the Voronezh Reserve – the beaver.

Solution:

We created a museum that became something really special. Interactive exhibits, material design principles, expressed through interiors, smart design solutions and informational richness have changed the stereotype that a museum of a reserve is something boring, impossible to understand by common people. The beaver’s house became the favorite sightseeing object of Voronezh citizens, and the beavers became Instagram stars.

An awardee of the European Kids-friendly Business Award ‘2015 as the best business project focused on a children’s audience.

In the Beaver’s Home you can listen to the voices of animals living near the beaver, complete quests on the knowledge about the forest.

What can you do in the Beaver’s Home?

Instead of a boring tour, during which the group gloomily goes from exhibit to exhibit, the Beaver Home offers various activities.

You can watch a film about the Voronezh Reserve, lounging in a comfortable bag chair

… or touch the fur of the beaver and other animals living in the reserve.

… or even read comics about beaver and hear some jokes: classic, old and relatively new like small spring leaves in a protected forest.

Here you can learn everything about the beaver. Or almost everything.

The beaver is part of an ecosystem. His life is tightly connected to the environment, so the museum paid attention not only to the beaver itself, but also to the rest of the ecosystem of the Usmansky pine forest.
